Asia's leading fresh produce trade show closes its most international edition yet, spotlighting record buyer engagement, a debut technology platform, and top industry award winners.

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA concluded its 19th edition on 4 September 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo, setting a new benchmark for Asia's fresh produce trade. The three-day event drew a record 16,000 attendees from 95 countries and regions, alongside more than 760 exhibitors from 41 countries across 27 national and regional pavilions — the most internationally diverse turnout in the show's history.

The milestone edition reinforces Hong Kong's role as a strategic gateway for fresh produce trade between Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, as global buyers and suppliers seek new sourcing partnerships amid shifting trade routes and rising demand for innovation.

"We are thrilled with the success of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026," said David Axiotis, Managing Director of Messe Berlin China. "The energy on the show floor, the quality of the conversations, and the scale of international participation made this one of our strongest editions yet."

A Global Buyer Base Takes Centre Stage

This year's edition attracted a broad international buyer base, with strong representation from mainland China, Japan, South Korea, Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Russia. A standout addition was the show's inaugural Buyer Program, which offered exclusive benefits to more than 1,600 qualified buyers and enabled pre-scheduled, targeted business meetings throughout the event — connecting growers, exporters, marketers, and technology providers directly with sourcing decision-makers.

Knowledge-Sharing at the Core

The Asiafruit Knowledge Centre, powered by Asiafruit Magazine, featured more than 50 industry leaders across its three-day programme, addressing pressing topics including global shipping challenges, shifting Asia trade dynamics, and the evolving China and Middle East markets. The opening panel brought together senior marketing executives from Driscoll's, Sunkist Growers, and Dole China, offering insight into strategies for engaging Asian consumers.

Sector-specific forums also drew strong interest, with the Nuts and Dried Fruit Forum and Frozen Fruit and Vegetables Forum spotlighting emerging trends across these fast-growing categories.

FRESHTech Marks a Strong Debut

Making its first appearance this year, FRESHTech — the show's dedicated technology platform — drew over 35 exhibitors from 22+ countries, alongside a two-day programme featuring more than 25 speakers covering smart agriculture, automation, cold chain solutions, traceability, and AI.

The inaugural FRESHTech Innovation Award went to Ryp Labs, Inc. for its StixFresh/Shelf Defense sticker technology, designed to extend shelf life and reduce spoilage. Finalists included Ocean Network Express (ONE) and Wyma Solutions, reflecting the range of innovation shaping the fresh produce value chain. FRESHTech will return for its second edition in 2027.

Community and Sustainability Commitments

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA continued its long-standing partnership with Feeding Hong Kong, a local food bank charity, with exhibitors donating surplus produce after the show to support the community — reinforcing the event's commitment to giving back beyond the exhibition floor.
